This supplement has been life changing for me. I was diagnosed with PCOS many years ago and the first line treatment for my insulin insensitivity was Metformin. Anyone who has ever taken this medication before can relate about how horrible it makes you feel. I have never before felt such painful nausea, migraines and myalgia. I was consistently looking for ways to help alleviate the side effects and came across this supplement. This supplement contains digestive enzymes to help with the breakdown of fats, carbohydrates and proteins. This supplement doesn’t interact with Metformin so I take them both at the same time. Ever since taking this medication I have noticed a big decrease of Metformin side effects.

Pros: This product really helps with digestion and minimization of Metformin side effects (please note this is from my own experience and this has not been medically proven). This product can be taken with Metformin, so it has increased my compliance as I can take them both at the same time.
Cons: This supplement contains Ox Bile so it is not Vegetarian or Vegan friendly. This supplement also contains sulphites, so if you have a sulphite allergy this may not be suitable for you.
As I am approaching my third decade of life, I have noticed a lot of changes in my skin and my skin’s elasticity. I started noticing that in pictures my smile now comes with loose skin near the edges of my cheeks and chin. I started doing professional skin tightening but wanted something that I could continue in between treatments. I initially saw this type of product on the Sephora website but couldn’t justify spending $89.00. I then went to the Amazon website and found a highly reviewed product that was similar and made by the company YouthLab.

Pros: This tool is easy to use and has been a great addition to my skincare routine. The tool itself is great quality and is very comparable to the one offered at Sephora. There has been a noticeable difference in my jawline.
Cons: This tool does not replace professional services. I also think that this tool needs to be used in conjunction with a jade/facial roller to assist with lymphatic drainage. I noticed that on days when my skin was puffy this tool didn’t make much of a difference.
Facial oils have become one of my favorite additions to my skincare routine. I have PCOS and am constantly battling break-outs and healing scars. I was recommended this product by one of my favorite make-up artists (@stephiebeauty on IG). I have been using this product for almost two months and have noticed a big difference in my skin. This product is described as a “dry oil” that quickly absorbs. This is definitely true and I love the mattified appearance it leaves on my skin.

Pros: I love that this is a dry oil and absorbs quickly into my skin. I use this product liberally and the value for the price is worth it. I no longer use medicated acne cream as this oil has quieted down my breakouts. My facial redness from healing scars has diminished tremendously.
Cons: This product being a dry oil means that I am unable to use any of my facial tools (i.e. jade roller) with it. The smell is also very pungent (the product contains tea tree oil and black cumin oil).
Apple cider vinegar has created quite a buzz lately in terms of claims to aid with weight loss and metabolism. It sounds great and has a lot of benefits but let’s be real who HATES their morning chug of apple cider vinegar? So when I saw ads for this product all over social media I was intrigued. It has been a pretty hard product to find with the only online retailers being those based in the United States. So when I saw this product for sale in the midst of my Christmas shopping I was so happy!

Pros: I love that this product is vegan and gelatin-free. The consistency of the product is so good, it’s not as chewy as regular gummies. The taste was my favorite part! You taste a fruity flavour which probably comes from the added pomegranate powder. Two gummies is supposed to be equivalent to one shot of apple cider vinegar, making compliance of taking this in comparison to the liquid much higher.
Cons: This product is hard to purchase. I was unable to find any Canadian websites that had it available. Via google search it appears the Squishcandies.ca has it, however, when the link is clicked its a dead-end URL. I also feel that in comparison to a bottle of apple cider vinegar, this product is overpriced and wouldn’t last as long (60 gummies per bottle and recommended dose is 2-4 gummies/day)
